Why is there a bad smell when working with UV printers? I firmly believe that it is a difficult problem for UV printing customers. In the traditional inkjet printing manufacturing industry, everyone has a lot of knowledge, such as general weak organic solvent inkjet printing, UV curing machine printing ink printing, ink printing, thermal transfer technology, and pad printing.
For UV printing, the odor is usually caused by ink, such as UV ultraviolet solid ink, organic solvent or weakly water-soluble resin ink, because the organic chemical composition of ink production is different, UV printing The irritating taste of ink mainly comes from its own raw materials, such as single paint thinner, low molecular weight initiator, epoxy resin interconnecting agent, etc.; under certain standards, the stimulating taste can be released slowly; it is very fake UV ink printing. Low-carbon and environmentally friendly production and processing regulations can be achieved. Therefore, in the UV printing process, the volatile organic compounds released from the left and right of the UV printing ink before and after curing will cause some smell.
The working method of UV printing is to cure the ink according to the LED ultraviolet light during the printing process. The LED ultraviolet light curing machine lamp will cause mild active oxygen in direct light. The ultraviolet light wavelength range caused by the UV curing equipment is 200 ~ 425nm . Among them, short- and medium-wave ultraviolet rays below 275nm touch co2 in the air, which easily causes active oxygen, which is a major source of irritating taste. This kind of active oxygen usually cannot dissolve spontaneously, not only will it be suspended in the air, but will also remain on the surface of the printed matter (printed matter has adsorption power and will retain some of the flavor). This smell is relatively light, and the amount is small, and it is generally not smelled. It is one of the reasons that cause odor in UV printing.
